The Spring House has been a source of water and a cool place for food. The building is placed over the spring and by hooking a pumping system to the source, you have running water to the home.

The Ground Cellar is another way of keeping food from spoiling and safe.

The building is fashioned off of a property in Waterford Va., The Wash House. This area was settled around the same time as the Pa. Germans settled in our area. The Wash House is a full log building with two doors.

This Smoke House is located at the Dry Rd. Farms off of State Hill Rd. in Berks Co. The Farm is a Historical Site. Settled in the early 1700's. The building only has the door in the front and has the little chimney on top, a wooden vent.

This building is a Corn Crib. My grandfather's farm had a wooden Corn Crib and we had found memories of shelling the corn with a hand cranked sheller.
